JNUC 2026 — One Committed Secret and the GitOps Framework That Saved Me

Manual script management is still the norm for a lot of Jamf administrators. This session tells the story of how a single committed secret led to a complete rethinking of that workflow — and introduces Shikomi, the open-source framework that came out of it.

Attendees will leave with a practical blueprint for professionalizing their automation: how a GitOps pipeline catches mistakes at two gates (local pre-commit hooks and PR-level CI), and how Shikomi wires secret scanning via Gitleaks, linting via ShellCheck, and semantic versioning together from day one.
